Offering 2012 Nucleus Colonies
Grampa’s Gourmet is proud to be able to offer nucs for sale this year.
We are taking orders for the nucs online, and will be delivering them to downtown Denver, where the nucs will be available for pick up (see date and location details below)

Product Description
The nucleus colony is a small wooden box consisting of four frames from the original parent colony. Three of the four frames have brood in all stages, from eggs to hatching adult bees, and the entire frame set has a sufficient quantity of bees to ensure colony chores are maintained.
Empty Nuc in Winter
Each nucs comes with an envelope with your name on it, which includes:
- installation instructions
- a thank you card
- instructions on how to return the empty nuc box for a $10 refund
The price for the nuc includes a $10 deposit on the wooden nuc box itself. After you transfer the bees and frames into your permanent hive you will be left with an empty box which we’d love to get back! That’s why we’d like you to bring the empty nuc back to the pickup location and get your deposit back. The deposit will either be refunded to your card (if you paid online) or by check (if you made the original purchase by check).

Hi Dave – I checked with Brent and it looks like the queens will NOT be marked. He simply doesn't have the time to mark all of the queens.

Not sure what you mean. If you are looking to buy just a queen, without the nuc than you\’re in the wrong place :)
You should check out Weaver Buckfast or Koehnen and Sons and buy directly from them.
